What We Have Accomplished So Far

• Created an ongoing network of people and organizations dedicated to keeping our community's youth and families free of substance abuse and other problems.
   
• Sponsored over 40 community meetings/parenting forums with guest speakers and panel discussions for all members of the La Cañada Flintridge community.
   
• Obtained funding from the Public Safety Commission (city of La Cañada Flintridge) to purchase a Breathalyzer to be used by the LA County Sheriffs at school functions throughout the community
   
• Developed protocol and procedures for free drug testing of youth living in La Cañada Flintridge.
   
• Organized programs for parents, presented by the LA County Sheriff STAR officer at local schools on drug identification and awareness
   
• Supported Red Ribbon Week activities at all local schools
   
• Coordinated speakers for school, PTA and community organizations
   
• Encouraged use of athlete contracts for local youth sport programs
   
• Supported La Cañada "Prom Plus"
   
• Produced and distributed a book called "Small Book of Big Issues" - a parent resource guide to support our continuing struggle to combat the illegal use of drug and alcohol, substance abuse, and family problems in our community
   
• Created and maintain a website providing information, insight and networking.
   
• Partnered with the City’s Public Safety Commission and the Youth Council to televise forums that are beneficial to families.
   
• Created the SafeHomes program to help parents keep their children drug and alcohol free.
   
• Brought our community together to keep our youth and families safe.
